Mr Manson

Hello everyone! I’m Mr Manson and I teach Year 3 in Dosbarth Castell Gwyn.

I love having the opportunity to teach in George Street Primary School. I am a newly qualified teacher and had the pleasure to complete my second university teacher training placement at George Street in 2022. My aim is to ensure that all learners are given the opportunity to experience fun, engaging and inspiring lessons so that their passion and motivation for learning continues to grow throughout their time in school.

I am very much looking forward to leading Health and Well-being this year with Mrs T Field.  This is an area of the curriculum that I am very passionate about and believe that all children’s physical, cognitive, social and emotional health is paramount to their academic achievement. I promise to ensure that our classroom will be a happy and safe place for all learners to work, laugh and achieve.  I also have great enthusiasm for outdoor learning, which I will be looking to implement as much as we can throughout the year (depending on our questionable British weather) to offer a different kind of stimulating learning experience.

George Street is such an amazing school to work in because of its fantastic pupils who brighten up the day with their joy and willingness to learn, as well as our staff who make learning fun and interesting for all.

In my spare time I play football for Cardiff Metropolitan University FC in the JD Cymru Premier League. I have recently discovered a keen interest for reading as I have found it broadens my general knowledge and helps put my mind at rest after a busy day. I also enjoy socialising with my friends and spending quality time with my family.

I find it very important to build positive relationships with my pupils and of course their families, thus I would like to remind you that if you have any questions, queries or news, I have an open-door policy and therefore happy to listen and speak to anyone who would like to have a chat.

Diolch yn fawr!
