Miss Davies 

Hello, I’m Miss Davies. I teach Dosbarth Tulip in Year 1. I am so happy and excited to be here as a newly qualified teacher, after completing my second university placement here. I love the hands-on learning through play that George Street offers to our children. My main aim is for the children to enjoy their learning, and get excited and motivated to learn something new every day. I also aim to promote the pupil voice in my classroom, by basing their learning on what they enjoy as individuals.

George Street is a fantastic school that puts the children first, and gives children the freedom to become inspired and independent learners, from staff who are incredibly passionate and enthusiastic. It is a real privilege for me to be working here.

In my spare time I enjoy being outside. I like to keep fit in a variety of ways such as going to the gym, paddle boarding, and outdoor swimming.  I am a keen netball player and play in a local Newport league. I like to cook and bake and I thoroughly enjoy reading. I am quite creative and enjoy interior design and clay modelling.
