Mrs Simons

My name is Mrs Simons and I am currently working as an HLTA in George Street. I have over 15 years of experience working in schools and have worked in our wonderful school for around 13 years. Previous to George Street, I worked in Pontymoile SNRB with autistic children.

There is nothing I enjoy more than seeing children flourish and reach their full potential. It is my passion to ensure that all children have a high standard of education. I will even undertake additional courses to help me better support children in George Street, and believe me, going back to school and learning is no easy task at my age. On that note, one of my recent ventures was to be fortunate in gaining my HLTA status through completing a very intense course during the latter part of 2019. Through this qualification I have been lucky enough to obtain a job as an HLTA in September 2020 at George Street.

I have many qualifications and a vast bank of experience under my belt. By taking advantage of my knowledge, experience and qualifications and utilising them in my every day practice, I am able to better support children in reaching their goals and their full potential.

During my spare time I enjoy jigsaws, family history research, walking, spending time with family and walking my dog. I have just recently had a beautiful baby grandson, who I am sure, will keep me on the go for years to come.
