Mrs Davies

I have worked at George Street since 2007.  During that time I have taught every year group throughout the school.  In 2022, I was fortunate enough to be selected for a Welsh sabbatical course and went back to university for 2 terms.  It was an amazing opportunity which increased my knowledge and understanding of the language immensely as well as providing me with the tools to teach it effectively to our youngsters.  I really feel that my passion for the language comes across and I hope that my pupils will come to love it as much as I do.

This year I am back teaching our Year 1 pupils.  I can’t wait to watch and be part of their journey as they grow and flourish into confident, independent individuals.

Away from school my life is very much focused around my three grown up children, the youngest of whom is off to university this year.  I also belong to a local running club and participate in parkruns, 10ks and the occasional half marathon.  I do whenever possible encourage other members of staff to join me for a gentle plod along the canal after work too, which has proved to be really enjoyable.
