Mrs Fisher

Hello, I’m Mrs Fisher and I am very lucky to be teaching Daisy Class in Year 2 this year! I am excited to see what fun and adventures we will get up to this year and can’t wait to see the children grow in confidence and independence during their learning journey. I have been part of the George Street family since 2012 and have had the pleasure of teaching children in every year group from Nursery to Year 6.

I am a Thrive trained practitioner and believe that wellbeing is paramount in ensuring that children feel ready to learn and confident to challenge themselves in a supportive environment.  I love teaching and it is my passion to instil a love of learning in all children to encourage them to develop a desire to become lifelong learners. I have fond memories of my time in school and believe in making many special memories with the children so they can look back on their school life with positive and happy memories.

I am very happy to be working alongside the school council again this year and feel it is important for children to voice their opinions and have their views taken into account in decisions that impact upon them.

At home, I enjoy spending time with my family going on mountain walks and visiting the beach. I have a happy heart when I am in my kitchen cooking a feast or baking sweet treats for my family and friends. I also love cuddling up on the sofa with a great book, a cup of tea and some chocolate biscuits!

At George street we have an open door policy. If you have any questions or issues, please don’t hesitate to have a chat to us on the gate.  Please follow us on Twitter to see all the lovely things that we get up to: @Year2GSPr
