Miss Ridout

Hello! My name is Miss Ridout, or as most of the junior children call me, Ridout…thanks guys!

I started working in George Street Primary when my son was in Reception, now he is GCSE age so I have been here for a number of years! I have worked throughout the whole school as a Learning Support Assistant, supporting children who have particular needs and have fully enjoyed all my roles.

I like to think of myself as the nurture lady. I always work hard to build a rapport with the children as well as parents and my colleagues to make sure we work as a team. I get on extremely well with the children, but that’s possibly because I’m still a child at heart! They call me the fun one and have also added me into one of their assembly songs as ‘I like to dress fancy!’

I love my dog, who is a pug and often show the children lots of photos of him as well as my cat with no fur, which is a little surprising! I’m very creative and enjoy working hard to make sure our learning environment looking fabulous and inspiring for the children! I pass this down to the children I work with and stretch their creative talents.

I love working with such a special team of fabulous hardworking staff, who are also my fabulous friends!
