Miss Bodger

My name is Miss Bodger, I have been teaching at George Street since 2018; having previously enjoyed teaching in schools across both Newport and Torfaen. I am so excited to lead Eco this year at George Street and to be undertaking my Master’s in Education (Wales).

My aim is to help the young people at George Street flourish and grow through exciting and engaging lessons, which encourage them to be the best they can be.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and my beautiful Siberian cat, Luna. I enjoy music (I play both piano and guitar), sports (I have recently learned to Scuba dive) and visiting other countries. I believe it is important to celebrate diversity in all its forms and travelling allows me to immerse myself in other cultures, languages and societies. We will need truly global citizens in the future and I am looking forward to fostering curious learners in my class who take an interest in the world around them, whether through outdoor play or through developing important skills such as literacy and numeracy which will allow them to participate and enjoy the riches that the curriculum in Wales, and beyond, has to offer.

I believe there are no limits to what anyone can achieve, whatever their background, and I can’t wait to support the lifelong learning skills that students at George Street will develop.
If there are any parents or carers who would like to come and see what truly collaborative learning looks like, my door is always open to you.
