Miss Gasson

Hello everyone! I am Miss Gasson and I teach in Year 3 Castell Gwyn.

I have been a student teaching in Newport for the past 2 years after working as a teaching assistant for 3 years. I adore my job and having the opportunity to teach and support the students through their education. This is my first year as a newly qualified teacher and I have had experience with students from reception classes all the way to Year 6. I hope to create a calming and inviting learning environment where the learners feel comfortable and as though what they are learning is valuable to them. I find playing music incredibly useful to create a relaxing environment for learners to thrive.

Outside of school, I enjoy dancing and listening to music. Music is on at all times in my home! I regularly go to the gym and enjoy getting outdoors for a hike. I adore reading and have my own little reading nook at home to cosy up and read peacefully.

I am looking forward to developing positive relationships with the learners where they feel as though they can come to me when they are in need of help and support.
