Mrs K Morgan

Hi I’m Mrs Morgan and have worked at George Street Primary School since 2015. I joined with 7 years experience in a Primary education setting, prior to this I worked for central government.

During my time at George Street Primary School I have been responsible for many areas such as an intervention lead, IT coordinator and website management all whilst undertaking the role of the school’s HLTA, delivering PPA throughout the school. During this time I was also seconded to the EAS which involved the creation, development and delivery of TA training programmes to TA's throughout Wales and HLTA training and assessing within the consortium.

More recently I have become the School’s Senior Support Officer. Since 2022 I have focused on the logistical running of the school alongside the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring the financial health is analysed frequently, maintained and continually seeking funding and grants to further improve our school setting, education opportunities and workplace.

I am the team leader of 6 midday supervisors who care for all our children during their lunch breaks. They encourage and nurture our learners within the dinner hall and on the yard with playtime activities - many members of the team often stay to volunteer during the afternoon, reading with the children in their classes. Within our team is the school's Site Manager who is the longest serving member of staff (nearly 40 years service) and 4 Office Administrative staff who are at the heart of the school.  Communication between home and school is vital and they work to improve links between the school and the community.  We pride ourselves on the support we provide all families.
