Mrs Williams

I have worked at George Street since 2012, but have been teaching for 25 years. I very genuinely love my job, and look forward to coming to work. The Early Years Team, and our children feel very much like an extension of my own family. It is a privilege to be part of such a team.

We work very hard to ensure that every child feels valued, and is enabled to achieve their very best within their Early Years at George Street. During their time with us, the children will experience a play-based curriculum which is led by them, and enriched by the team around them. This is the most fulfilling part of our role, and to the children feels like nothing more than ‘play’. If your child comes home saying they have ‘just played’, then we are achieving our ultimate goal! Believe me that they are learning from this experience.

When I am not embracing my inner 3 year old, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love to cook and spend time with our over indulged Labrador, Ginny. I love to read, and enjoy revisiting many of my childhood favourites as much as I love to share the latest publications - I still cry when I read ‘A Little Princess’ by Frances Hodgson Burnett, and laugh when I read ‘The Great Dog Bottom Swap’ by Peter Bently.

It is my abiding hope that our children settle quickly and are happy in their Early Years as I firmly believe this to be the very best foundation from which they can grow and learn. It is my intention to make this happen to the best of my ability.
